Designed by award-winning artist and sculptor Jim Shore for the Disney Traditions brand. Height: 10cm.
Award-winning artist Jim Shore grew up in rural South Carolina. The son of passionate artist parents who instilled in him a love for traditional American folk art and its values. He was also inspired by his grandmother, who taught him to appreciate manual arts. Jim studied engineering and graduated in business. He supported his family as an engineer, honing his sculpting and painting skills in his free time. He eventually created his own company, Designs Americana, to market his creations. In 2005, Jim Shore partnered with Disney, and together they formed the "Disney Traditions" collection. From this fruitful partnership, the artist gained great consumer recognition. His unique design style applied to iconic Disney characters has made Disney Traditions one of the most successful co-branding collections.
