Collectible figurine Attakus The Quest for the Time-Bird: The Unknown. Limited and numbered edition with certificate of authenticity. Height: 9cm.
The Quest for the Time-Bird is a Franco-Belgian heroic fantasy comic book series, first published in 1983. Its script was written by Serge Le Tendre, and the illustrations were done by various artists, depending on the cycles and even the different volumes within a cycle. Régis Loisel created the four volumes of the first cycle. For the second cycle, Lidwine drew volume 1, then Mohamed Aouamri volume 2, and Vincent Mallié volumes 3 and 4. The colors were also successively the work of several artists. For the first cycle, Yves Lencot did volume 1, then Laurence Quilici volume 2, and Régis Loisel volumes 3 and 4. He also did volume 1 of the second cycle, then François Lapierre volumes 2 and 3.
A mystical figure from The Quest for the Time-Bird, Fol de Dol embodies a power as unpredictable as it is fascinating. Spirit of the Dol river, endowed with great powers, he presents himself as an enigmatic master of the river, speaking in rhymes and subjecting travelers to his riddles. Neither ally nor enemy, he grants his help to those who know how to answer… and unleashes the river's force against those who fail.
This statue captures all the character's strangeness, between apparent madness and hidden wisdom — a true test of the mind, in the guise of a whimsical minstrel.
